I absolutely loved my breakfast experience here! 🍳 The fresh baked breads are a definite highlight, especially their amazing baguettes. 🥖 The European vibe of the place adds to the charm. I'd definitely recommend it for a fantastic start to your day. 😊

Went to Paul’s Cafe in Melrose Arch this morning for a quick breakfast, and it must be noted that breakfast should always be quick and readily available.
As soon as we sat down, we ordered an omelette as well as a portion of fried eggs with bacon. The food took about 20 minutes to arrive, which I felt was quite long, especially as we were already in a hurry. By the time it arrived, we basically had to scoff the meal down and leave.
The waitress was accommodating and sweet, and overall the service was good.
My partner asked for the fried eggs to be medium, but unfortunately they were overdone and quite dry. It also looked like they had been sitting under the warmer for a while waiting for someone to bring them through to the table.
What is quite cool, though, is that they make their own homemade butter using leftover cream from their baking. You can also see the chefs working and baking in the bakery, which adds something nice to the experience.
All in all, I would definitely go back, but not if I’m in a hurry. If you’re looking for a really quick breakfast, this probably isn’t the place unless you’re grabbing something already prepared, like a croissant or something similar.
